WHAT IS BAM?

Through the Miami Center for Architecture and Design (MCAD) and a part of Miami AIA's AIM (Architects In the Making), the Black Architects in the Making program focuses on reaching local minority students who have not yet been exposed to the possibilities of a future career in STEAM. BAM seeks to enhances elementary to high school students’ knowledge about the architectural profession in a way that is creative and fun. BAM provides a safe space where mentors from the profession can engage students, at all levels, through exciting workshops and hands on activities. Partnered with local firms and organizations, BAM also offers scholarships, higher education resources, and opportunities for employment to graduates of architecture programs.
