Craig Aquart, AIA, NOMA, CSI

Founder, Co-Chair

Craig Aquart is a Principal at MCHarry Associates with over 25 years of experience and a passion for the community. Craig serves as President of SoFLo NOMA (South Florida National Organization of Minority Architects) , Vice president on the AIA Miami board, and Co-Chair of the Architects in the Making (AIM) Summer Camp Program.  On observing the lack of diversity in the architecture industry, Craig founded BAM in 2016.

Naomi Harrison, Assoc. AIA, NOMA

Co-Chair

Naomi Harrison is a Senior Project Manager at MCHarry Associates with 20 years of experience. Naomi oversees the firm’s K-12 educational projects  and is responsible for mentoring high school interns. Through BAM she serves her community by sharing her passion for architecture with students in hopes of changing the dismal percentage of Black female architects in the United States.

Myra Solomon

Board Member

Myra Solomon is an Organization Business Consultant who works to advise businesses on diversity inclusion. Myra is an ardent community activist who has joined forces with Miami PACT (People Acting for Community Together) over the last 5 years. She serves as a mentor with Women of Tomorrow where she mentors high school students and assists them with college scholarships. Myra joined BAM in 2018 to help in the effort of making the architecture profession more diverse.

Bernise Thelusma

Board Member

Bernise Thelusma Muhammad is a Miami educator, a member of SoFLo NOMA (South Florida National Organization of Minority Architects),  and a proud Black architect in the making! Her commitment to nurturing a love of education through project based learning led Bernise and her daughter to BAM’s inaugural program in 2016. In pursuit of her masters degree and licensure, Bernise happily participates in community workshops aimed at introducing architecture to  local students.
